  Drivers during the talk

  Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur invited MOHAN foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers in his training hall on 20th October 2017.This were for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license.

   

  Mr.Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk, he explained for following points:-

  1. Organ Donation and the Law

  2. Who can donate organ

  3. Type of organ donation

  4. Brain Death Natural Death and Coma

  5. Myths related to Organ donation

  6. Deceased donation cases in Nagpur

  7. Kidney transplant hospital in Nagpur

  8. Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and website

   

  It was a very interactive session. 22 drivers were present at the talk. 2 drivers signed consent form and took donor cards.

  The drivers asked the following questions:

  • Can one person donate two organs in his lifetime?
  • What is the cost of transplant of different organs?
