Awareness sessions conducted at Barclays, Unitech Infospace Park, Noida

  • On May 02, 2013 MOHAN Foundation conducted two awareness sessions at the Barclays office at Unitech Infospace Park, Noida. This was a result of an initiative taken by Mr Dinesh Kapoor (AVP, Credit Analysis) who had heard a program on organ donation on Radio FM and took it upon himself to spread awareness on the same amongst his colleagues. More than 100 people were present in the talks held at 10.30 and 3.30 respectively (62 in the morning slot and 44 in the afternoon slot)

     

     

    Barclays has been one of the leading investment bankers in India for nearly three decades and more recently have had great success with their personal and corporate banking services in Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kanchipuram.

     


    Various concepts of organ donation and transplantation were discussed and numerous queries related to the massive need of organ donors and hospital support systems were touched upon. Delicate topics like religions prohibiting organ donation and confusion between brain death and coma were also discussed. An informative short film on 'brain death' was also shown.

     

    48 people took the donor card.
