  On 9^th September 2021, MFJCF was invited to deliver an awareness talk on organ donation and transplantation for the students of Jai Durga College of Nursing in Jhotwara, Jaipur. The speakers for the talk were Mr. P C Jain and Ms. Renu Uba of MFJCF.

  Mr. Jain started the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation and MFJCF. He then talked about:

  • Organ donation and its need
  • When and how does organ donation take place
  • Organs that can be donated during life and after death
  • Myths about organ donation
  • How to pledge to be an organ donor

  After the presentation, a short movie on organ donation was played for the participants. The entire group was highly motivated to support organ donation. They also asked questions about how to support organ donation and whom to contact for organ donation in case of brain death.

  Around 110 people attended the talked and 90 of them signed up as organ donors and received their donor cards. They also promised to share their wish of donating their organs after death, with their families.  Brochures were distributed to the participants. MFJCF is grateful to Dr. Anil Gupta (Director, Jai Durga College of Nursing) for inviting us to conduct the talk.
