Ms. Jaya Jairam invited as Panelist at 'Affordable Liver Transplants Conclave 2021'

  • On 18th October 2021, MOHAN Foundation was invited to speak at 'Affordable Liver Transplants Conclave 2021', hosted by The Pravin Agrawal Foundation for Paediatric Liver failure patients and post-transplant patients. Ms. Jaya Jairam (Project Director - Mumbai) was invited as one of the panelist, to speak on 'Promotion of Wellness amongst PLT (post liver transplant) patients and their families'.

    Mr. Ayan Chatterjee, the moderator, introduced Ms. Jaya Jairam and shared how she was instrumental in shaping TRIOMPH - Patient Support Group initiative by MOHAN Foundation for Organ Failure patients, Transplant Recipients and Caregivers. He asked about the ways the patient support group could be valuable to the Organ Failure patients, Transplant Recipients and Caregivers. Ms. Jaya highlighted the common emotional problems that Organ Failure patients, Transplant Recipients and Caregivers face are fear, anxiety, guilt, psychological isolation related to transplant, post-transplant and this is where a Patient Support Group helps the families and patient to come out the situation positively through peer support who had undergone through the same circumstances.

    She also elaborated the online procedure of enrolling in the TRIOMPH - Patient Support Group for the Organ Failure patients, Transplant Recipients and Caregivers. Also she introduced new initiative under the TRIOMPH like #GetFitwithTRIOMPH for Organ Failure patients and Transplant Recipients. 

    The event had 3210 views on YouTube and around 7 views on Facebook. We thank The Pravin Agrawal Foundation for inviting us to be a part of their Annual Conclave.
