  Ms. Rashmi explaining the importance of Donor Card

  On 19^th June, 2022, Ms. Rashmi Shetty conducted a webinar on organ donation for friends and family members of Ms. Kriti, who is a psychology student in V. G Vaze College, Mulund. She and her friends organized this session. They gave a formal introduction about MOHAN Foundation and requested Ms. Rashmi to give some inputs about organ donation and its importance. There were 28 attendees.

  Ms. Rashmi thanked the organizers and started her presentation by introducing herself and MOHAN Foundation. She then discussed the concepts of organ donation and  discussed the below topics in detail.

  • What is organ donation?
  • What comes to your mind when you think of organ donation?
  • Age limit to donate organs
  • Who can donate? – Living donors and Deceased donors
  • Types of death- Brain death and Circulatory death
  • Concept of Brain death was explained with example
  • Which organs and tissues can be donated after Brain death and Circulatory death?
  • Myths surrounded on the topic of organ donation were discussed.
  • MOHAN Foundation Helpline number was displayed to the audience.
