On 29th November 2016, an organ donation awareness talk was conducted in CMA CGM Shared Service Centre India Private Limited, Sholinganallur premises which was delivered by Dr. Hemal Kanvinde, Quality Assurance Officer, MOHAN Foundation. 20 staff members attended the session.
Before the talk began a video was played about Organ Donation in the Tamil Nadu State, as this state has the leading donors compared to other states in India.
Then it was followed by a presentation about Organ Donation and its awareness by Dr. Hemal Kanvinde. The presentation went on for half an hour. Topics covered in the talk were – who, why and when of organ donation. Followed by the presentation a video was played which described in a detailed knowledge about BRAIN DEATH and another motivational video on organ donation.
After this the green ribbons were distributed to the members to show that they support Organ Donation. A query on skin donation by one of the participants was answered. The organiser Ms. Aparna ensured that animation videos on organ donation would be put up on the common screens and motivate people to sign up as donors.
