On 3rd August 2023, an organ donation awareness talk was organised by Mr. Jagdish Borude, transplant coordinator, MOHAN foundation at Modern college of Pharmacy Moshi, Pune. The talk was coordinated by Mrs Bhagyashree Parande, Assistant Professor, Modern college of Pharmacy, Moshi, Pune. The talk was organised on the occasion of 13th National Organ Donation Day.
The aim of this talk was to spread awareness and sensitize students and faculty about organ and body donation. Mr. Jagdish gave a brief introduction of MOHAN foundation and its role in organ donation and its activities. Mr. Jagdish then elaborated what is organ donation and body donation and the basic concepts of organ donation. It was interactive in nature.

· Concept of organ donation and tissue donation
· Concept and definition of Brain death
· Types of death- Brain death and cardiac death
· Organs and tissues donated after brain death and circulatory death
· Why organ donation is important in India?
· How one can save lives of 8 people
· Body donation and its importance.
· Ischemic time of each organ and tissue
· THOTA act 1994 and its importance
The motive of the camp was to aware students and faculty about organ and body donation. There were 100 participants were sensitised. At the end of the session, Mrs Vrushali Tambe, Vice principal felicitated Mr. Jagdish Borude.
