  Mr.Sandiyappan, 57, a railway employee met with a road traffic accident and was declared brain dead at the Government General Hospital, Chennai. His son and the other family members gave their consent for organ donation when the transplant coordinators explained the concept to them. As a father of five children, Mr.Sandiyappan gave life to five more people by donating his organs.
