Morning walkers bring in Independence Day with an awareness on Organ Donation

  On August 15^th, 2016 Dr. Sunil Shroff, Managing Trustee of MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Haddows Walking Park Association to be the Chief Guest for the Independence Day programme. Around 50 walkers attended the program.

  The event started with the hoisting of the flag by Dr. Shroff.  Mrs. Rodha Krishnan, President of the association welcomed the gathering. Dr. Shroff gave a talk about independence and the importance of martyrs in our country and our duty to pay respects to them. He then requested the gathering to stand in silence for a moment to pay respect to the martyrs who lost their lives in the struggle for independence.   

  Dr. Shroff, as requested by the Mrs Rodha spoke a few words about organ donation, organs which can be donated, types of donations, need for organ donation and about the donor card.

  A stall was put up, brochures were distributed, 15 donor cards were picked up and 10 donor cards were picked up to distribute to family members.
