  On 13^th January, 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Jernail Singh, NSS Program Officer of Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-38(west) DMC, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their students at the NSS camp of their school. Approximately 90 students from class 12^th attended the session.

   

  Students were given an introduction & presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Deepika Arora. The talk focused on concepts of organ donation and transplantation.

   

  Explained the following points:-

  • Necessity and importance of organ donation
  • Types of donors
  • In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
  • In case of brain death which organs and tissues can be donated
  • Myths on organ donation
  • Importance of donor card

   

  After the presentation Mr. Jernail Singh, NSS Program Officer motivates the students in a big way and promised that they definitely work on this cause and asked to take pledge for organ donation.
