CNE Program in PSG Hospital on Organ Donation and Transplantation

  • MOHAN Foundation, Coimbatore as part of its public education initiative, conducted a sensitization program for nurses in its network hospitals on 8th February 2012. This program, introduced at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai, which is part of the network hospitals, has shown significant rise in the number of cases being processed completely.  Nurses play a vital role in organ donation process by effective management of brain dead patient for harvest and transplant. Hence a program for PSG Hospital was arranged to be conducted every week during their CNE program. The first session was held today in PSG seminar hall.

     

    Organ Donation concepts, THO Act and various aspects related to Organ Donation and Transplantation process were discussed. Everybody present pledged for a donor card and took some for their friends.
