About MOHAN Foundation:
MOHAN Foundation is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization established in India in 1997. Dedicated to promoting deceased organ donation, the foundation raises awareness, provides training, conducts research, and advocates for policy changes. We collaborate with hospitals to support families in the decision to donate organs and aim to enhance healthcare in India through international affiliations.


The fellowships are open to citizens of Asia.


Transplant Coordinators Fellowship:

- Candidates must hold an undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) degree in any of the health sciences.

- Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Transplant Coordinator in a recognized high-volume center.

- Duration of the fellowship is two weeks


Transplant Nephrology and Surgery Fellowship:

Requirements

A. Registration with Medical Council Abroad (for hospital fellowship programs):

- Candidates must be registered with the Medical Council abroad. In case of unregistered candidates, the hospital generally will assist with the application process, provided the applicant meets specific criteria detailed in the application form.


B. Evidence of Clinical Knowledge and Skills:

- For Nephrology: Candidates should possess a postgraduate degree qualification in Nephrology or Transplantation (e.g., Master’s/DM/DNB).

- For Transplant Surgery: Candidates should hold a postgraduate degree qualification in Surgery, Urology, or Transplantation (e.g., Master’s/MCh/DNB).


C. Evidence of Clinical Experience:

- Candidates should demonstrate experience in general nephrology/transplantation and must be actively engaged in medical practice at the time of application.


D. Evidence of English Language Proficiency:

- Candidates are required to provide a valid certificate demonstrating proficiency in English. This can be achieved by obtaining:

- An Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least 7.0 in each testing area and an overall score of 7.5 in the same test, obtained in the most recent sitting.

- Alternatively, candidates may submit a valid Medicine version of Occupational English Test (OET) certificate, with at least a grade ‘B’ in each testing area in the same test, obtained in the most recent sitting. It is advisable to verify this requirement upon acceptance into the program.


Expectations from Candidates:

Following are the expectations from selected candidates:
a. Candidates are expected to work abroad and return to India to implement the acquired best practices.
b. Candidates selected should submit a short profile with a high resolution picture of themselves to be included on our website.
c. Once they complete their fellowship, a report would be required of their experience and suggestions, if any, to improve the fellowship program


Membership Requirement:

Candidates are required to become life members of MOHAN Foundation to stay informed about new openings. Please note that membership does NOT assure placement or selection.

Call for Applications:

Fellowships may range from 2 weeks to 2 years. Applications are accepted year-round, with openings typically in Summer or Autumn. Shortlisted candidates will be notified of interview dates, often conducted via video.
