A 30-year-old labourer was declared brain dead after he met with an accident and his heart was transplanted to a lady in Hyderabad. A recipient matched with the labourer's heart and was decided that it will be airlifted to save the woman’s life in Hyderabad.

The live heart was transported in short span of 2 minutes 45 seconds in Yashoda hospital at Secunderabad. The effective coordination between the doctors and the traffic authorities made the transplant possible.

The harvested heart was carried in an uninterrupted manner as the traffic authorities created a ‘green corridor’ from Victoria hospital to the airport. The doctors at Yashoda Hospital began the process of transplantation after the heart was successfully transported.
