  SHORT FILM COMPETITION
  
  MOHAN FOUNDATION invites entries from the students of Visual Communication and Film Making under following categories:
  
  1. Ad Spot
  
  2. Short Film
  
  Terms and conditions:
  
  Competition is open to Visual Communications students and Film students of Chennai City colleges.
  
  Theme for the above entries is ORGAN DONATION. Content should be aimed at bringing an awareness among the public about ORGAN DONATION and motivate them to contribute towards this noble cause. All the necessary information needed to write the script can be provided by the foundation upon the request.
  
  A student can submit more than one entry and each entry should be accompanied by separate application.
  
  Shot film / Add spot may be of the type - documentary / docu-drama / fictional / recreation of real event / Interviews based / views of personalities.
  
  Language can be in Tamil or Hindi (subtitles in English)
  
  Initially participants are required to submit the idea / basic script on or before 15th October 2010, for approval with details as given under:

  Participants whose idea / script is approved will be informed to go ahead for the production of the Spot / Short film.
  
  The films are to be shot in a format suitable for broadcasting. The recommended format is standard definition PAL (minimum 720 x 576 pixels) – DV or miniDV and above. The films should be converted to video files for the DVD and should be either VOB, MPG, MPEG4 or AVI. Duration of the Ad Spot should be 30 to 40 seconds and Short Film should be 5 to 6 minutes including credits.
  
  Finished material should be handed over / sent in DVD media with index and along with application to MOHAN Foundation on or before 15th November 2010.
  
  Cash Prizes will be awarded to the top two in each category. In addition, there will be consolation prizes.
  
  Awarded entries should be allowed to be used by MOHAN Foundation for the purpose of screening and telecasting for the public and participants should give an undertaking to this effect.
  
  Announcement of winning entries and Prize Distribution will be on 25th November 2010.
