MOHAN Foundation was invited by Shri. Vishnu of Vikasa Taragani – Youth Wing, an active cultural youth group formed with the blessings of Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Sriman Narayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji that promotes healthy living with a spiritual touch, to participate in the Cyclethon organized at PVN Gyan Bhoomi, Necklace Road on December 28, 2014 (Sunday).
There were about 100 young participants that have actively participated in the event which included college students. All the participants were distributed donor cards, information brochures and activity reports.
Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation spoke about importance of deceased organ donation, cultural intricacies involved with organ donation & eye donation, benefits of transplantation, T.H.O 1994 Act, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation, religion and organ donation.
We thank Shri. Vishnu and members of Vikasa Tarangini – Youth Wing for organizing such an event and Hyderabad Police for granting us permission for the cyclethon to promote organ donation. We also thank all the young participants that have actively participated in this event to promote the noble cause of organ donation.
