On, 21st April 2015 an awareness session was conducted for the students of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-40, Chandigarh. Around 250 students participated and they were from12th standard humanities. Three teachers also attended the session and filled in the donor cards after the completion of the session. The session was conducted in the activity room of the school, where all the sections sat and listened to every bit of the session carefully.
It was an interactive session and students actively listened the whole presentation which was about Importance of Organ donation and brain death by the Program Coordinator Nilakshi. Some of the students shared, that they have seen Organ Failure patients and patients on dialysis. The Human Organ Act was also discussed.
At the end, students asked very relevant question related to organ donation and eye donation. MOHAN Foundation’s Donor cards were shown to them and some of them took donor cards for their parents and elder siblings. Around 90 cards and many information brochures were also taken by the students.
