  • On October 6, 2015, MOHAN Foundation was invited at the Aon Hewitt office, sector 127, Noida for an awareness session on organ donation.

Aon Hewitt is the leading global provider of risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, and human resources solutions and outsourcing services. It helps companies uncover risks and discover new opportunities to make their more business more successful.

In June 2015 MOHAN Foundation conducted sessions on organ donation at the company’s Gurgaon office. The sessions were organized and coordinated by Ms. Gurmeet Kaur (Client Service Manager) who requested for another session at their Noida office during the ‘Joy of Giving week,’ i.e. in the first week of October 2015. The Noida session was organized and coordinated by Mr. Rahul Sethi (Client Service Manager).

To give a very calm touch to the session, a creative way was tried to conduct the talk in non - cafeteria hours in the cafeteria where 39 people enthusiastically participated in the same.

Dr. Muneet took the session and Ms. Sonam accompanied her. She explained the basic concepts of organ donation & transplantation. Some participants gave the feedback on how the information on the difference between brain death and coma was an eye opener. The same was better understood by the participants through a short film on brain death. Dr. Muneet also spoke on the Transplantation of Human Organ Act 1994 and stressed on the penalties of being involved in unethical practices such as commercialization of organs. She also spoke on eye donation and how as an individual each participant can propagate about the same by talking about it within the family.

The interest of the participants could be clearly seen with the questions they had. Dr. Muneet was happy to clear all the doubts, as it shows if one is asking questions that mean they are ready to learn and know more.

10 donor cards were picked up on conclusion of the talk.
