One Week Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme, Pune

Updated on Monday, June 24, 2019
  • We are happy to announce that a “One Week Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme” is being organised by MOHAN Foundation in collaboration with ZTCC Pune from 19th to 23rd August 2019 at ISCCM Hall (Pune Chapter), off Karve Road, Pune, Maharashtra.

The success of organ donation and transplantation depends upon good counselling and coordination by transplant coordinators. The Transplantation of Human Organs (Amendment) Act, 2011, has made Transplant Coordinator nomination mandatory before a hospital is registered as a Transplant Centre. This means there is a huge requirement of Transplant Coordinators in close to 400 Transplant centres in the country.

In order to meet the growing demand for Transplant Coordinators, MOHAN Foundation has embarked upon training programmes to suit the needs of these health care professionals. We have conducted 63 training programmes in the country and trained 2268 transplant coordinators over the past eight years (December 2009 – May 2019).
