On April 8, 2013, MOHAN Foundation's team and Seema Yadav, Transplant Coordinator from Medanta the Medicity participated in an event," A date with development," organized by Leaders for Tomorrow at Community Centre, 1 Ashoka Place, New Delhi.

Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT) is a not-for-profit youth leadership movement established mainly in college campuses who conduct leadership development programmes, skill development programmes and social development programmes to create leaders for tomorrow. A date with development was a series of competitive events organized by LFT on the theme of Development. The activities included essay writing, social B-plan, short film making, photography, poster making, out of waste collage making, quiz, face painting, debate, T shirt designing and street play.

MOHAN Foundation was one of the sponsors who put an awareness/exhibition kiosk on organ donation. The idea of putting the kiosk was to have direct interface with the target audience i.e. the students from 110 college clubs representing 9 universities. Around 500 students from Delhi-NCR participated and many visited the MOHAN Foundation kiosk and pledged their organs by taking the organ donor card.

MOHAN Foundation also facilitated a competitive event, a debate on the topic; Should Organ Donation be compulsory or by choice? The MOHAN Foundation team's representative was invited to adjudge the event.  There were 10 participants who spoke for and against the motion for 5 minutes. They were adjudged on the basis of the content relating to the topic, knowledge and presentation.

Most of them spoke on organ donation as an altruistic gesture that would help save many lives; an act which if made compulsory would prevent the illegal trading of organs, donated organs are needed for medical research, pharmaceutical studies and in medical education and training programs were some of the points in favour of the motion. Against the motion the points raised were that the decision to donate should be an individual's choice, some religions forbid organ donation and organ transplantation changes the personality of a person.

Post the debate the MOHAN Foundation representative applauded all the participants and announced the results. She also spoke about the foundation and the work which it does. There were few queries on organ donation and transplantation which were addressed.
