On 28^th September 2022, MOHAN Foundation was invited by CatalystOne Info Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Mohali, Punjab to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for their employees. Around 16 participants participated in the program.

 

Ms. Neha Sharma addressed the audience explaining them about how important is Organ Donation and it provides the opportunity to improve the quality of life and saving lives of others. It is the greatest gift one can ever give.

 

Participants were given an introduction and presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Neha Sharma Katoch.

 

In this talk, she explained the following points: -

• Organ donation types and who can be a donor
• The status of organ donation in India and their requirements vs donation rates
• She explained 5 myths on organ donation with their corresponding reality check
• Difference between circulatory death and brain death
• Age is not a constraint in donating their organs.
• Real life story of an organ transplant patient was shared with the participants
• Importance of the donor card
• How to pledge or sign up for organ donation on MOHAN Foundation's website
• MOHAN Foundation’s mission & vision

 

The entire audience got motivated. It was an interactive session with the participants. All employees signed up as organ donors at the end of the session. In the end they showed great interest in doing more programs with MOHAN Foundation.
