On 15^th Aug 2022, MOHAN Foundation, in association with Transplants – Help The Poor Foundation conducted an awareness talk on organ donation at Balaji Hall, Narendra Nagar, Nagpur on the occasion of Independence Day.

Ms. Prarthana was the chief guest and the speaker for the day.

Ms. Prarthana introduced MOHAN Foundation and walked through the concept of organ donation and transplantation. The audience were made aware of the effective usage of organ donation helpline 1800 103 7100. Types of organ donations, how to register as an organ donor, concept of brain death and circulatory death was discussed in detail.

She then shared the importance of donor card and encouraged each and every one to pledge their organs.

Questions asked by the audience were as follows:

• Difference between cardiac death and natural death?
• Hand transplant procedure

Ms. Prarthana answered all the queries promptly. Around 300 general public attended the session. We would like to thank Mrs. Jyoti Mishra Director of Aadarsh Bahuudeshiya Shikshan Sanstha for organizing this session.
