Mr. Pradip Deshpande, Course Director of VANAMATI was instrumental in conducting an Organ Donation session for VANAMATI training center so he invited Dr. Ravi Wankhede, as the speaker for the day on July 11th 2022.

Dr. Wankhede introduced MOHAN Foundation and its mission to the audience, he then presented his PPT on organ donation and explained the concepts of organ donation, types of donor, who can donate, legal aspects of organ donation and myths surrounded by the topic was also discussed in detail. Around 50 people attended this session.

At the end, a demo of how the audience can take pledge through MOHAN Foundation website was shown. Lastly, Dr. Wankhede appealed to all attendees to pledge their organs and save other’s lives and thanked each one for their active participation.

Questions asked by participants were as follows:

• Do we get financial help from MOHAN Foundation for any sort of transplant?
• What is the cost of liver transplant?
• After a person’s death, how to donate his/her organs?
• Where is MOHAN Foundation located?

The session was informative, interesting and motivated 50 of them to pledge their organs. We thank the organizers and team VANAMATI for inviting us and supporting the cause of organ donation.
