On 14^th February 2022, MOHAN Foundation was invited by CM Associates Pvt. Ltd., Sector -82, Mohali, and this program was organised by Shakuntla Foundation to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation. Around 32 participants attended the session.

 

Participants were given an introduction and presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Neha Sharma Katoch.

 

In this talk she explained the following points.

• Importance and need of organ donation
• Difference between Natural Death, Coma and Brain Death
• Importance of Donor card
• Types of Donations - Live & Deceased donation
• Role of MOHAN Foundation

 

At the end of the session, Ms. Neha explained the importance of eye donation and the whole process of eye donation. She motivated the audience to pledge for eye donation. She also explained how one could pledge to be an organ donor.

 

The session was attended by close to 32 participants. All of them took donor cards.
