Jaipur Turns Green for the National Organ Donation Day

On 27th November, the National Organ Donation Day, famous monuments like the Hawa Mahal, Albert Hall, Amer Fort and Jal Mahal of Jaipur city were lit up green. These monuments remained lit for three days - 25th, 26th and 27th November to spread awareness about organ donation among people.

Green symbolises hope for the millions who are awaiting a second chance at life through organ transplantation. It also reminds of those who have died waiting for a life-saving organ. Most importantly, it conveys our gratitude to organ donors and their families for giving the supreme gift of all – the gift of life. The organ donation cause is also represented by a green ribbon.

The Jaipur city authorities have shown their support towards the cause by lighting up the city green for the last few years now. This initiative of MFJCF-Navjeevan was covered by many leading newspapers.
