On 9^th Aug 2020, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr Kapilesh and Ms Shraddha of Deepastambha Charitable Trust for giving awareness about the Organ Donation through zoom meeting.

Ms Jaya Jairam started the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission, vision and philanthropy. She introduced the concept of Organ and tissue donation. She also explained the types of death viz. Cardiac and Brain Death and the organs and tissues that can be donated. She went on to explain to the audience the concepts of organ donation such as what, why, how and when can one donate organs. She also described that tissue donation (skin & eyes) can happen even at home which caught attention of the crowd.

She then discussed about Organ Donations that can happen in case of Brain Dead case and number of lives that can be saved by giving the examples of successful transplant stories.. She also discussed the myths and beliefs relating to organ donation which cause people to hesitate or back out of organ donation, thereby refusing the chance to save so many lives and also have their loved one continue to live in this world.

About 50 participants attended the awareness session and few took online pledge as Donor Card registering link was shared.
