On 11^th February 2020 MOHAN Foundation in association with Transplants – Help The Poor Foundation was invited by the Malti Fitness Gym Center to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for their Members.

Firstly, Ms. Prarthana introduced herself to the students and after that she asked the questions from Members to check their knowledge about organ donation and transplantation.

Participants were given an introduction and presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Prarthana. They were also explained about the tissues that can be donate at home itself in case of Natural or Cardiac Death.

In this talk she explained the following points: - 

• • Organ donation types and who can be a donor
  • Myths with  facts on Organ Donation
  • Difference between natural death and brain death
  • Age is not a constraint in donating their organs.
  • Real life stories of an organ transplant being shared with the participants
  • Importance of the Donor card
  • To pledge their organs they can register at MOHAN Foundation
  • MOHAN Foundation’s mission & vision

The entire group got motivated and was convinced to support organ donation and they said they would love to share their wish with their families thereby sharing the gift of life. After the talk participants asked a few questions which were answered to their satisfaction. Around 20 participants participated in the program. About 5 pledges were taken and few were taken online. We thank Mrs Malti Owner & manager of Malti Fitness Gym Center for inviting us and supporting the cause of Organ Donation.
