The Transplant Coordinator of Seven Star Hospital, Jagnade Square in Nagpur, Dr. Sandeep Nagmote, invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation. The programme was conducted on 12^th December 2019 and around 130 participants were present in the programme.

Dr. Sandeep Nagmote gave the introductory speech and Dr. Ravi Wankhede from MOHAN Foundation presented in detail a wide range of topics about organ and tissue donation. He also explained the Transplantation of Human Organs Act which includes the offences and penalties related to the malpractices in organ donation.

Dr. Ravi Wankhede explained the following points in details:

• What is organ failure and its causes?
• Who can donate and when it is possible to become a donor?
• When can organs be donated?
• Law on organ donation and transplantation?
• Difference between brain death, natural death and coma?
• Age criteria for organ donation?
• Myths related to organ donation
• What is the time period for organ donation?
• What is the role of hospitals in organ donation?
• How to register as an organ donor?

All the doubts were clarified by Dr. Ravi Wankhede and 5 participants registered as organ donors and received their donor cards. MOHAN Foundation thanks Seven Star Hospital for the opportunity.
