On 28^th February 2019, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Sagar Sonawane (Project Coordinator)to conduct an awareness session on organ donation.Gilbarco Veeder-Rootis a supplier of fuel dispensers, point of sale systems, payment systems, forecourt merchandising and support services. The company operates as a subsidiary of Fortive and its headquarters are in Greensboro, North Carolina, United States. It employs approximately 4,000 people around the world, with sales, manufacturing, research, development, and service locations in North and South America, Europe, Asia, the Pacific Rim, Australia, the Middle East and Africa. 

Mrs. Jigisha Yadav held an awareness session and introduced Mohan Foundation, its mission, vision and philanthropy. She introduced the concept of Organ and tissue donation. She also explained the types of death viz.Cardiac and Brain Death and the organs and tissues that can be donated. She elaborated the procedure about bone donation which was new topic for the crowd. She also described that tissue donation (skin & eyes) can happen even at home.

Around 150 people attended the awareness session. The attendees were distributed informative brochures. We were honoured by the presence of Mr. Rav Gowda, VP Engineering SSE. We are thankful to Mr. Sagar Sonawane, Mr. Vikrant Jain (Program Manager) and Mr. Abhijeet Kothari and Ms. Nishi Dewaniwell as the other participants who took interest, thereby supporting the noble cause of organ donation.
