On 31st July 2018, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Sridhar, Branch Manager and Mr Kameswaran, (CSR) of Suryoday Small Finance Bank, Mayiladuthurai, to deliver an awareness talk on organ donation for the members of Joint Liabilities. 122 members from 29 centers participated in the program. The program was held in two different venues in the premises of the Bank.   

 

Firstly Mr. Sridhar introduced Mr. Dileep Kumar. S to the audience.  Mr. Dileep started by testing their knowledge about organ donation and transplantation by having an interactive session. Later he started the presentation and covered the following points:

 

Importance of diet and exercise to stay healthy

Organs and causes of their failure

Breast cancer

Organ donation as a live giving cause

Difference between natural death and brain death

What, when and how of organ donation

How to pledge as a donor

Myths on organ donation

How to register for an organ as a patient

Organ donation types and who can be a donor

 

After the question answer session, Mr. Sridhar thanked Mr. Dileep  Kumar S for his effort in conducting the session and for giving valuable information to the members.
