Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur invited MOHAN foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers in his training hall on 19^th June 2018. This was for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license.

Mr. Bulu Behera, MOHAN Foundation delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained the following points:

v  Organ Donation and the Law

v  Who can donate organ

v  Type of organ donation

v  Understanding Brain Death, Natural Death and Coma

v  Myths related to Organ donation

v  Stories of donors from Nagpur

v  Kidney transplant hospitals in Nagpur

v  Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and website

It was a very interactive session. 22 drivers were present at the talk and 2 drivers signed consent form and took donor cards.

The drivers asked the following questions:-

• Who is the right person signing at the time of organ donation?
• Any financial support by government to donor family?
• What is Bone marrow?
