In association with the Times of India, MOHAN Foundation organized an awareness program on Organ Donation for Students of Central Polytechnic, Taramani, Chennai on 27^th February 2017.

Dr. Hemal Kanvinde conducted the session. To begin with there was a short interaction to understand the level of understanding.  After this a movie explaining brain death was shown and the Concepts of Organ Donation were explained with the help of a presentation.  Topics covered were types of death, brain death, organ and tissue donation under different categories, importance of safe driving and registration process for organ donation. A few cases were also discussed.

Is it necessary to speak to parents about the donor card?

What is the difference between brain death and coma?

A small quiz was run through at the end of the discussion to emphasize the learning.  60 students of 1^st year attended the session. MOHAN Foundation thanks the Times of India for this opportunity.
