Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur invited MOHAN foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers in his training hall on 2^nd January 2018. This was for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license at the Regional Transport Office (RTO).

Mr. Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained for following points:

v  What is Organ Donation and the Law?

v  Who can donate organs?

v  Type of organ donations.

v  Difference between Brain Death, Natural Death and Coma.

v  Myths related to Organ donation.

v  Deceased donation cases in Nagpur.

v  Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and website.

It was a very interactive session. 26 drivers were present at the talk. 1 driver signed consent form and took donor card.

The drivers asked the following questions:

• What is bone marrow & what is the cost of a bone marrow transplant?
• What is Brain death?
• Whom to contact for organ donation?
