Awareness talk on organ donation at Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School Sector-40, Chandigarh

On 21^st January, 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms. Ritu and Ms. Anu Jinder NSS Program Officer of Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School, Sector-40, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their students at the NSS camp of their school. Approximately 65 students from class 11^th attended the session.

Students were given an introduction & presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Deepika Arora. The talk focused on concepts of organ donation and transplantation.

Explained the following points:-

Necessity and importance of organ donation
Types of donors
In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
In case of brain death which organs and tissues can be donated
Myths on organ donation
Importance of donor card

All the students were highly motivated and said they will come forth to make it a success in their areas.
