One Week Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme, Bengaluru

We are happy to announce that the “One Week Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme” under the aegis of National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO), Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India organised by MOHAN Foundation in collaboration with Zonal Coordination Committee of Karnataka for Transplantation (ZCCK) will be conducted from 13th to 17th February 2017 at Aster CMI, Bengaluru.

The success of organ donation and transplantation depends upon good counseling and coordination by transplant coordinators. The Transplantation of Human Organs (Amendment) Act, 2011, has made Transplant Coordinator nomination mandatory before a hospital is registered as a Transplant Centre. This means there is a huge requirement of Transplant Coordinators in close to 400 Transplant centres in the country.

In order to meet the growing demand for Transplant Coordinators, MOHAN Foundation has embarked upon training programmes to suit the needs of these health care professionals. We have conducted several training programmes in the country and trained over 1300 transplant coordinators over the past seven years.
