Awareness talk on organ donation at Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh

On 12^th January, 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms. Harjinder kaur, NSS Program Officer of Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their students at the NSS camp of their school. Approximately 60 students from class 12^th attended the session.

Students were given an introduction & presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Deepika Arora. The talk focused on concepts of organ donation and transplantation.

Explained the following points:-

Necessity and importance of organ donation
Types of donors
In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
In case of brain death which organs and tissues can be donated
Myths on organ donation
Importance of donor card

Students showed their keen interest to do more and take the cause further.
