MOHAN Foundation conducts awareness talk on organ donation at Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Sector-29, Chandigarh

On 30^th December 2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Ram Pal, NSS Program Officer of Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Sector-29, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their students at the NSS camp of their school. Approximately 25 students from class 12 attended the session.

Students were given an introduction & presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Deepika Arora. The talk focused on concepts of organ donation and transplantation.

Explained the following points:-

Types of donors
In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
In case of brain death which organs and tissues can be donated
Myths on organ donation
Importance of donor card

It was indeed an amazing session with students as they asked various questions on organ donation.
