Organ Donation Information Stall at Inter College Culturals

MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. Madhavan, Admin In charge Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital to put an informative stall on Organ Donation from 28^th September 2016 to 1^st October 2016. This stall was organised as a part of their inter college cultural activity.

Ms. Sunitha, Ms. Jayanalani and Mr. Abhinav Transplant Coordinators of MOHAN Foundation manned the stall. They explained the concept on Organ Donation through one to one interaction. They discussed the following topics:

Importance and need of organ donation
Types of donations – live and deceased donation
Difference between Natural Death, Coma and Brain Death
Organs and tissues that can be donated in cardiac death and brain death
Eye donation
Importance of Donor card and helpline number

Nearly 100 students (Art and Science Colleges) visited the stall and 50 of them pledged for organ donation.
