On 17^th September, 2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Secretary, Col. (Retd) Dr. G.P Taneja, Indian Red Cross Society – Haryana State Branch, Chandigarh to Conduct an awareness talk at State Level Youth Red cross  Training Camp for Girls held at Laxmi Bhawan, Mata Mansa Devi Mandir, Panchkula. Around 126 students, 14 counsellors from 14 Districts of Haryana and faculty Members of Red Cross – Haryana Participated in the Session.

 

Participants were given an introduction and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Ms. Deepika Arora.

 

She explained the purpose, necessity and Importance of Organ Donation, Concept of Brain Death, THO Act and Myths related to Organ Donation, Types of Donors, Video on Promoting Organ Donation and Brain Death were screened to explain the concept of Brain Death.

 

It was indeed an interactive session. Counsellors and students promised that they will Promote Organ Donation in their respective areas. Around 100 Donor cards were taken by the Participants.
