MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ln. Neelesh Vithlani to conduct an Organ Donation Awareness session for all the members of Lions Club of Hyderabad organized as a part of their yearly strategy meeting on 11^th February, 2016.

Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act and myths related to organ donation and the role played by civil society organizations in taking organ donation forward.

There were about 50 members of Lions Club that have joined the session and come forward to pledge to donate organs and were provided donor card and information brochures. All the members also were very interested in taking up organ donation as one of the activities in their portfolio of social activities and promote organ donation with MOHAN Foundation.

We thank Ln. Neelesh Vithlani and Ln. Pushpa Boob for organizing this awareness session and all the members that have participated and made this awareness session a success.
