DCSmat School of Management, Kazhakootam, Trivandrum invited MOHAN Foundation to put an information stall during their Educational Fest. The event was organized on 16th November 2015 at Conference Hall in their college premises along with Blood Donation Camp conducted by Government Hospital, Trivandrum. This programme was referred by Kerala Network for Organ Sharing (KNOS).

 

Ms. Kavitha. S, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation represented on behalf of MOHAN Foundation and Kerala Network for Organ Sharing (KNOS).The The following things were discussed during one to one interaction:

 • Types of Organ Donation - Live and Deceased Donation

• Difference between Brain death and Coma

• Importance of the consent from the family

• Importance of Donor card

• Tissues and organs that can be donated

• Importance of family consent and Toll free Helpline

 

At the end of the programme many queries were raised, all the queries were answered. A mixed group of students and staff attended the programme and nearly 25  picked donor card and supported the cause.

 

Following the event a meeting was held with Ms. Kavitha. S, Mr. Nair,Director, DCSmat College and Mr. Anoop, Faculty, DCSmat College for conducting a awareness session for their students. Ms. Kavitha. S accepted to conduct the class and also suggested have a signature campaign on National Organ Donation Day (27^th November 2015).
