On, 15th May, 2015 MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session for the students of GMSSSS-18 Chandigarh .The awareness session was conducted for the students of 12th standard. In which around 150 students’ participated. The principal and Ms.Anju took the initiative to conduct the session in their school.

The students were given a presentation on Organ Donation and what are the laws pertaining to that. They were explained the phenomenon of brain death also by the program Coordinator Nilakshi. One of the student shared her Grandfather died of Kidney failure few years back because he didn’t receive any matching kidney and she shared how important the organ donation can be for a family whose loved one is suffering from such a problem.

It was an interactive session and all the students were asked to talk to their parents and peers about the cause. They promised on to propagate the word around in their community. The information brochures were also distributed to them.
