MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mrs. Krishna Kumari, Deputy Director, to conduct organ donation awareness session at All India Radio Office, Vijayawada On 13^th March 2015.

Ms. Shanti explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act and myths related to organ donation and the role played by media in taking forward organ donation.

There were about 25 participants that participated and were distributed donor cards and information brochures. The participants reacted positively to the idea and have promised to spread awareness about organ donation in community.

We thank Mrs. Krishna Kumari, Deputy Director for her kind support in organizing this awareness session and also thank the participants for their support to this noble cause.
