An awareness session on organ donation was organized by Mahindra TVS, Trivandrum on 6th March, 2015 for the staff as part of their Corporate Social Responsibilities activities in connection with M&M mega service campaign. The staff  were distributing the organ donation awareness brochures and donor cards to the costumers during their one week campaign.

Mr Niran Kumar, Service Manager of TVS Mahindra Trivandrum gave an introduction to the participants. After that Ms Saranya S, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation deputed in KNOS, Chief Guest deliver a talk on organ donation. More than 50 staff were present at the talk. The session began at 5 pm and started off with Ms Saranya explaining about KNOS and its functions. She also explained about the objective of KNOS, Transplantation Human Organ act- 1994 and its amendments, activities of KNOS, how  KNOS maintains patient registry,  allocation of each organs, organs which can be donated after brain death and cardiac death, importance of carrying  donor card. 

Participants asked questions about live donation, what are the procedures for live organ donation, if there is no relatives then who will give consent for organ donation etc. At the end of the session the manager formally thanked the KNOS team for conducting awareness.
