On the celebration of Joy of Giving week, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Beroe Consulting (I) Pvt. Ltd, to conduct an awareness talk for their staff on 19.02.2015. Mr. Dinesh and Ms. Krithiga Senior Research Analyst at  Beroe  took initiative  for the event. A concert on Organ Donation was conducted for the employees a day before the event, and a teaser on organ donation was sent to all the employees, to make them understand the basics of Organ Donation.

Ms. Kavitha S, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation was deputed to address the gathering. There were totally 30 participants who attended the programme. Ms. Kavitha concentrated  on the following topics: Concepts of Organ Donation, Types of Donors, Organs that can be donated after natural and brain death, Importance of Donor Card, Statistics of organ donation for  Tamilnadu, Toll free helpline number, Tamilnadu organ registry.

She ended her talk by sharing few real stories, by which the whole group was moved. After that a recipient speech was also screened to understand the value of the donation. The session ended by Mr. Arun, sharing his experience of Mr. Hithendran’s donation.

Following that, many people raised question related to legal and ethics, authenticity of organ sharing etc. All the queries were answered by the coordinator. All employees signed as an organ donor.
