On January 21, 2015, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation at Hcentive Private ltd, Noida.

Ms. Pallavi Kumar explained the concepts of organ donation and transplantation primarily focusing on the types of donations, how to diagnose brain death, tissue donation, the Transplant Law of India and statistics on the said subject. A short film on brain death was shown. The session was conducted in an interactive manner where the participants chipped in with their views on recent coverage of organ donation stories in the media and also with unhesitant inquiries throughout.

 

The pictures and stories of few of our donors were also shown which the participants related to and also the testimonials of Mrs. Neena Verma whose son passed away prematurely and had been involved in the cause ever since. She accounted a personal yet decisive input on organ donation and appealed to the participants to focus their efforts on promoting organ donation.

 

11 participants attended the session and 7 donor cards were picked up.
