On 18^th September, 2014, an awareness session on organ donation and blood donation was organized by CONSPI Academy of Management Studies, Pappanamcode, Trivandrum as part of their 2^nd Blood and Organ donation Camp. The awareness programme was held at college auditorium at 2.30 pm.

The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Rishi Raj Singh IPS, ADGP, Kerala Police and     Ms. Ajeetha Begum, DCP, Kerala Police. After the blood donation camp Ms. Saranya S, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation deputed in KNOS, Chief Guest delivered a talk on organ donation. 80 students attended the awareness session. The session started with a welcome speech delivered by Dr. Deepu Jayachandran Nair, Managing Trustee, CONSPI and also a physician in Ananthapuri Hospital, Trivandrum. After the welcome address Ms Saranya explained about KNOS, the gravity of the cause of organ donation. Her presentation included the Objective of KNOS, Transplantation of Human Organ Act-1994 and its amendments, Activities of KNOS, how KNOS maintains web registry and allocates each organs, major solid organs and tissues which can be donated after brain death and cardiac death, Importance of carrying a donor card. The class was followed by a footage covered by Mathrubhumi News on cadaver donation and a movie clipping about the importance of cadaver organ donation was shown to the audience.

At the end of the session, a second year MBA student formally thanked KNOS team for conducting the awareness session. All students pledged their organs by picking the donor cards.
