Ambassador Dr. Neena conducted an awareness talk on Organ donation at B.R.M. College of Education, Gharaunda, Karnal Haryana

An Organ Donation Awareness Session was held on 14 July 2026 at B.R.M. College of Education, Gharaunda, Karnal. The session was conducted at B.R.M. College of Education, Gharaunda, Karnal for B.Ed students. The session was conducted by Dr. Neena, who explained the importance of organ donation in saving lives.

She explained the importance of organ donation in saving lives and covered key topics such as:

  • Need for organ donation and its life-saving impact
  • Process of organ donation — when and how it takes place
  • Organs that can be donated during life and after death
  • Transplant waiting list in India and the urgent demand-supply gap
  • Brain death vs coma — understanding the difference
  • Contraindications to donation
  • Role of MOHAN Foundation in promoting awareness and facilitating donations
  • Myths and facts surrounding organ donation

The B.Ed students listened attentively, asked insightful questions, and showed strong interest in the subject. The session helped clear doubts and encouraged them to spread awareness in their communities and future classrooms.

The program was successful in creating awareness about organ donation among future educators, motivating them to consider it as a noble act of giving life to others. By sensitizing B.Ed students, the initiative ensured that the message of organ donation will reach wider circles through their future role as teachers and community leaders.
