An Eye Donation Awareness Session was held on June 23, 2026 at Hedichapada during an Eye Check-up Camp organized by VisionSpring. The session was conducted by Karina Kadu from MOHAN Foundation and was attended by a total of 30 participants. During the session, participants were briefed on the significance of eye donation, the donation process, eligibility criteria, and how donated corneas can help individuals suffering from corneal blindness regain their vision. Various myths and misconceptions surrounding eye donation were also debunked, and participants were encouraged to engage in open discussions with their families regarding their decision to donate their eyes. The session was interactive, with participants actively engaging by asking questions and seeking clarifications. They were enlightened on the fact that a single eye donor has the potential to restore sight to two individuals through corneal transplantation.
