MOHAN Foundation Participates in Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Babina Multi-Specialty Hospital, Khabeisoi |

On June 18, 2026, MOHAN Foundation participated in a voluntary blood donation camp organized at the Blood Centre of Babina Multi-Specialty Hospital, Khabeisoi. Representing MOHAN Foundation, Imphal, were Mr. Bidyananda Laishram, Senior Program Executive; Ms. Moirangthem Priya Devi, Program Executive; and Mr. Elangbam Paringanba Singh, Program Executive.
The event was organized in connection with the 32nd Arambai Tenggol (AT) Voluntary Blood Donation Camp, held in observance of the 25th Great June Uprising Day under the theme, “Athouba Singgi Mafamda Kathoklaba Ee.”
An information desk and an organ donation pledge counter were set up under the coordination of Mr. Sarangthem Kumarjit Singh, Treasurer of the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors (AVBD). The MOHAN Foundation team highlighted the significance of deceased organ donation, explained the various organs and tissues that can be donated, addressed common myths and misconceptions, and emphasized the crucial role of family consent in the donation process. Participants visiting the information desk actively engaged with the team and learned about organ donation.
Addressing the media, Mr. Waikhom Munindro, Central Management Provost (CMP) Commissioner of AT, shared that he had pledged to donate his organs during the event. He also expressed his determination to promote organ donation awareness among members of the organization and the wider community, emphasizing that it is a noble cause that can save and improve lives.
Informational pamphlets on organ donation were distributed to the participants to enhance awareness and provide access to relevant information.
Around 60 participants attended the programme, and 11 individuals pledged to donate their organs. |
