On 08 March 2026, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Omega Hospitals organized the Omega Women’s Wellness Summit 2026 and inaugurated the Omega Cancer Foundation in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, and Hon’ble Minister for Panchayath Raj and Women & Child Welfare, Government of Telangana, Smt. Seethakka. The initiative reflected Omega Hospitals’ commitment towards accessible and quality cancer care, with 60 beds dedicated to the foundation as part of its social responsibility efforts.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mohana Vamsy, Chief Surgical Oncologist and Managing Director of Omega Hospitals, emphasized the importance of cancer awareness, early detection, and preventive healthcare, particularly for underserved communities.

The event also featured the “Daughters of the Soil” felicitation ceremony, recognizing inspiring women leaders for their outstanding contributions across healthcare, social service, entrepreneurship, sports, and philanthropy. Among the honorees, Mrs. Lalitha Raghuram Garu, Country Director of MOHAN Foundation, received the prestigious “Jeevanashakthi Award” for her remarkable contribution towards organ donation awareness and advocacy.

The program concluded with a strong message of women’s empowerment, social responsibility, and collective commitment towards building a healthier and more inclusive society.
